The Playful Learning Co-op Hiring Committee is pleased to announce our new Pre-K teacher for the 2014-2015 school year! One of our own, Jessica Adams comes to us as a Board Member and an experienced Member of our co-op family! She is currently working on completing a degree in Early Childhood Education, and has extensive experience working with and planning lessons for children ages 2-9 years old in a classroom setting. Additionally, she has proven herself to be a leader and a team-player in her work on both of her children’s school boards.
Jessica plans to work closely with the Board, Members, and Students this year to make this new transition as smooth as possible. She is driven by a deep desire to meet the ever-changing needs of our community with an open mind, willing spirit and a humble heart.
Jessica says, “I am overjoyed to be beginning my teaching career with PLCP! I first heard about co-op when my son was 3, and at that time, all I knew was that I was signing my son up for a preschool that allowed me to stay and play instead of forcing us to separate before we were ready. My son Wyatt (9) and now my daughter Penelope (Nell, 4) both thrived as students with Teacher Anna! I also have grown in many ways as a parent and educator in my 4 years of experience as a member and class coordinator, and I believe it has given me an authentic understanding of how our co-op works and what a tremendous impact this setting can have on families.
As an educator, I am wholeheartedly committed to the whole
student, and believe that my strength is in teaching young children the skills necessary for lifelong personal success in an age-appropriate and playful way.
In my spare time, I enjoy finding new books to read with my family, going on adventures, being in the kitchen, playing outdoors and creating!
I am looking forward to an incredible year and want to thank all of you for the opportunity to be a part of such an important stage in your child’s life! Please feel free to contact me at any time with questions, comments, or concerns about your child or the classroom. I am here to help!”
Please join us in welcoming Jessica into her new role in our co-op community!
